Kingsport is part of the Tri-Cities area (Kingsport, Johnson City, and Bristol) located in Sullivan and Hawkins Counties and derives its name from an early boatyard on the Holston River known as King’s Port. Filled with rich history, attractions include, Bays Mountain Park & Nature Preserve, Warrior’s Path State Park, Greenbelt (a linear park system) Netherland Inn, and The Exchange Place. Kingsport is host to the annual, award wining Fun Fest event. Kingsport’s downtown area has been revitalized where visitors can spend the day antique shopping, dining, enjoying the many unique art sculptures and listening to outdoor concerts.
